Within a dotted circle surrounded by a wreath, ‘al-sulṭān ibn al-sulṭān Nāṣir al-Dīn Shāh-e Qājār’ (‘Sultan, son of Sultan, Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar’ in Arabic/Persian); crown above. Rev. Within a circle surrounded by a wreath, ‘zarb-e dār al-khilāfa Ṭehrān 1295’ (‘Struck in the Abode of the Caliphate Tehran. 1295’ in Persian); crown above. Album 2938T. KM 844. Rare and beautifully toned. Struck a machine-made flan at the reduced weight of one mithqal. Some minor scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
